Scott Knapp
November 22nd, 1941 - March 2nd, 2008
“Scott was born in Galveston, TX and graduated from Texas A & M. He is survived by his mother, Martha Knapp Hurley; his daughter, Kelsey Knapp Hickok; his mother-in-law, Kenna L. Joseffy; and his wife and soulmate, Jill Knapp of Lakewood. Scott moved to Colorado in 1964 to work for Jefferson County Public Schools and Cheley Colorado Camps. He was a teacher at Fletcher Miller School prior to becoming the Assistant Principal there. He also worked on the Assistive Technology Assessment Team for Jeffco. He retired from Jeffco after 43 years of service. Scott was also co owner of Twin Dolphins Diving in Lakewood and was a Dive Instructor Trainer and Dive Instructor for Scuba Diving International (SDI) and a PADI IDC Staff Instructor. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Rocky Mountain National Park Fund, Airedale Rescue, Denver Dumb Friends League, the VNA Hospice or the Denver Hospice. Boxes and envelopes for donations will be available at the Celebration.
