Lexington, KY James E. Donley, Jr., 74, died July 4, 2017 at Baptist Health in Lexington KY. He is survived by his wife Judy (Hamilton) Donley; daughters Tiffany A. (Eric Witnik) Broyles and Brittany S. (Jamie) Thadani; sons Chad W. (Michelle) Donley, Joshua J. Donley and Gregory R. (Sabrina Handcock) Donley; stepson Eric (Kimberly) Sowers; grandchildren Connor (Audrey) Broyles, Caroline L. Broyles, Catherine L. Donley, Charles W. (Alaina) Donley, Jr., Mary-Helen Donley, Carson E. Broyles, Bella M. Thadani and James W. S. Donley; step-grandchildren Ashley Ann Sowers, Logan Lee Sowers, Grace Sowers, John Spencer Sowers and Ava L. Handcock; great-grandchildren Adalynn R. Chapman and Kennedy J. Donley; sister Diana Von Derau; half-sister Cheryl Garner; niece Victoria Von Derau and nephew John Von Derau. He is preceded in death by his parents James E. and Pribble (Williams) Donley. James was a retired District Manager at Sherwin Williams. He served in the Army as a Staff Sargent. In retirement, he volunteered in several positions with the Kentucky Colonels. Funeral Information There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends from 5-7PM, Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 7PM with military honors.
