Delores V. Ritchey of Lynnwood died October 15, 2010; she was born October 22, 1928 in Glen Ullin, ND.Dee was a member of the VFW Post 1040 in Lynnwood and served on the South Snohomish County Memorial Day Committee for over 30 years. She was a lifelong volunteer and this commitment earned her the General Douglas McArthur Memorial Award in 1977.Dee was very involved in the Lynnwood Elks, and was a member of the Emblem Club where she had many dear friends.She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Robert and her beloved dog, Tiffany; as well as her parents, several siblings and many close friends. Dee is survived by her children: Geri (Ray) Reed, Robert (Becky) Ritchey, Jeannette (Mike) Mitchell, Carol (Ron) McArthur and Bill (Diane) Ritchey; grandchildren: David (Amanda) McArthur, Jill McArthur, Bryce Dootson, Kimberly (Eric) Holcomb, Aaron and Anthony Ritchey; along with her six great grandchildren.A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Saturday, October 30 at Becks Funeral Home, 405 5th Avenue S, Edmonds, 425-771-1234; with a recn following at the Lynnwood Elks.
