March 16th, 1920 - October 12th, 2015
Clayton D. Raynes, age 95, of Venice, FL passed away on October 12, 2015. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 16, 1920, and came to Venice in 1994 from Dayton, Ohio. Clayton graduated from Ohio State University and was a pharmacist and owner of Meyer's Pharmacy in Dayton for 36 years, retiring in 1989. He was a 32nd degree Mason in the Dayton, Ohio Lodge. Clayton served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Marie, of Venice; son Phillip and daughter in law Christine of Dayton; grandchildren Chad (Lorrie) Raynes and Angela (Steve) Cox; and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Clayton Richard Raynes. A memorial service will be held at Village on the Isle Mark Manor in Renaissance Room 1 on Monday, October 19th at 1PM.
