William H. Granberry, Jr.

William H. Granberry, Jr., age 85, of Venice, FL died on June 18, 2015. He was born in Memphis, TN on August 7, 1929. Bill studied as an undergraduate at Lambuth College in Jackson, TN and he earned his Masters of Divinity from Emory University in Atlanta. He served as a Methodist Minister in the Memphis Conference for 38 years. Bill retired to Venice in 1989 and served as Associate Pastor at Grace United Methodist Church, retiring from that position in 1997. He was very active in music ministry his entire life. He sang in community choirs including Exsultate of South Sarasota County. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Granberry, of Venice; daughter Grace Ann Granberry of Jackson, TN; son Andrew Granberry of Germantown, TN; brother James Granberry of Clarkesville, Georgia; and grandchildren Chloe and Eli. A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, June 22nd at 2 PM at Grace United Methodist Church in Venice.
