William Edward Peterson
January 24th, 1926 - April 8th, 2013
Bill was born in Boise, Idaho on January 24, 1926; died one day shy of his and Carmies 63rd Wedding Anniversary. Bill graduated from Olympia High school and joined the Navy immediately spending 2 years in the Navy during WWII. He graduated from St. Martins College with a BA in History. He did his graduate work at PLU and graduated with a BE in Education. He taught school and coached football, wrestling and track in South Bend. Wash. for 8 years; then moved on to teach and coach in the Edmonds School District; retiring in 1982. Bill loved to cook and requested a new cook book for his last birthday. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his love of coaching his students. One team gave him a Pewter mug engraved To Coach, A Maker of Many Men.He leaves behind his wife, Carmie; son, Chris and daughter Lisa. His son Randall J. Peterson preceded in death. Announcement: In lieu of flowers donations may be given to Special Olympics.
