Geneva T. Dowd, age 98, of Englewood, FL died on February 26, 2015. She was born to William and Annie Tieman in Bedford County, PA on April 14, 1916. Geneva graduated from Caesar Rodney High School at the age of 15. She was a building contractor and owner of Dowd Building Supply in Waverly, NY. Geneva was also a homemaker, an artist, and in her late years enjoyed reading and writing. Surviving family members include her sons, Michael Jerome Dowd and Philip William Dowd; grandchildren Michael Kevin Dowd, Andrew Jackson Vernon Dowd, Thomas Jefferson Dowd, Philip William Dowd, Jr., Elita Mie Dowd and Maliena Michi Longley; and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Francis George Dowd. Visitation will be at Farley Funeral home, Venice Chapel, on Thursday, March 5th from 2-4 PM with a service at 4. Burial will be in Oxford, Pennsylvania.
