C. Wayne Jones

On February 2, 2014 C. Wayne Jones crossed from this life.Wayne spent his primary years in Everett, moved to Seattle in his teens, and graduated from Garfield High School. He joined the navy and met his love, Frances, while in North Dakota for officers training. When WWII ended Wayne and Fran married and moved to Seattle. Wayne attended the University of Washington and received his degree in civil engineering. The couple spent a few years each in Olympia and the Magnolia area making many lasting friendships. Their next move was to Edmonds where they spend the remainder of their lives together.Wayne had many interests and talents. He enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, swimming, dancing and gardening. After retiring he resumed painting, dabbled in wine making, and crafted many unique items in his woodshop.Wayne is preceded in death by his wife, Frances, and his first born son, Richard. Surviving him are his children: Sharyl Berry and her husband, Robert; Lauri Jones, Jay Jones and his wife Robin; his two grandchildren, Dean Berry and Mikaela Jones; and great-grandson, Blake Berry; also his step brother, Robert Isler.Wayne loved to tease and make people laugh. He will be missed by many.
