He was born in Pike County, Kentucky, on October 24, 1923, to Adam and Liza Adkins. Elbert is survived by his daughter, Dana Coleman, of Versailles; 2 grandchildren, Steve (Laura) Coleman and Cynthia Ray; and 7 great-granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Kersty, Kelsey, Kamilla, and Keller Coleman, and Jessica and Joy Ray. Funeral Information Services will be 11:00AM, Monday, June 9, at Bailey Funeral Home, Elkhorn City, with Darrell Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6-8PM Sunday, June 8 at the funeral home.
