Dora Joy Gaudin Thompson
May 16th, 1929 - October 15th, 2015
Dora (Dee) Joy Gaudin Thompson passed away peacefully at her home in Snohomish, Washington on October 15, 2015. Dee was born on May 16, 1929 in Hollywood, California as the only child of James Ashley Gaudin and Pearl (Stokes) Gaudin. She spent most of her school years in Gooding Idaho and attended the University of Idaho receiving a bachelors degree in Elementary Education. After college she moved to Spokane, Washington where she taught 2nd grade and met and married her husband of 40 years, Maj. George Christopher Thompson, USAF in June of 1955. After retiring from the Air Force, the couple resided in Bellevue, Washington. Dee was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and a lifelong member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, George. Dee is survived by her three children, Christa Thompson (Andrew Cowan), Carrie Gove (Mike), and David Thompson (Jeanine SanClemente) as well as her beloved grandchildren, Christopher Gove, Ashley Pederson (Eric Pederson), Douglas Gove, Chelsea Thompson, Chloe Thompson, Sarah Cowan, Anneke Thompson and Dane Thompson. A celebration of Dees life will be held on Sunday, November 1st at 2 PM at Washington Oakes Assisted Living, 1717 Rockefeller in Everett, Washington.
