Robert Bob Koronko, age 83, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, Saturday, January 21, 2017, at Swedish Edmonds Hospital in Edmonds, Washington. Bob was born on August 24, 1933, in Arlee Saskatchewan. He was the youngest son of three born of the parents John and Nina Koronko. Bobs older brothers were Simon and Elmer. ;Bobs dad was a hardworking man in which Bob learned construction skills and learned to build a home from the ground up. Bob was referred to by his family as Mr. Fixit, because there was nothing that he couldnt fix. ;On January 11, 1966, Bob brought his wife Joan and his two daughters, Kim and Karen, from Calgary, Alberta to the US. They initially lived in North Hollywood California and then headed to Seattle, Washington settling in Edmonds for the past 50 years. Bob was an entrepreneur. Bob and Joan began Factory Direct Tires Sales in Edmonds in 1971 and sold it in 1998. Many of the girls friends and classmates worked for Bob over the years. ;In 1986 Bob became a grandfather beginning with Allison and Jaclyn from Kim and Dave and Jacob and Rosemary from Karen and Al. Grandpa Bob loved and doted over his grandchildren and was a very loving and involved grandparent. ;Bob loved to travel. He had a motorhome that he and Joan and his daughters would take on the road and visit family throughout Canada, Oregon, and Colorado. We have fond memories of camping, boating, and waterskiing with our cousins at Shuswap Lake, BC, Lake Goodwin, WA and their property at the Glen at Maple Falls. Other adventures Bob and Joan experienced were trips to China, France, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Hong Kong, and the Bahamas. ;Roberts passions included loving his wife Joan, and his family near and far. He enjoyed repairing cars, singing, playing the guitar, road-trip vacations, and especially enjoyed talking to people. Bob loved pizza. One could often hear Joan say Bob never met a pizza he didnt like. ;Robert is preceded in death by his six week old son John, his parents John and Nina, brothers Simon and Elmer, mother-in-law Rose Fleck. ;Robert is survived by his wife Joan, his two daughters Kimberley Koronko of Edmonds, Karen Koronko-Adelgren (son-in-law Al) of Colorado, Dave Demmert, son-in-law, and grandchildren, Allison and Jaclyn Demmert, Jacob and Rosemary Adelgren. ;The memorial service will be held on Friday, February 3rd and 1 p.m. at the Edmonds Church of God. 8224 220 St. SW Edmonds, WA. ;Please join us in the celebration of Bobs life with recn following at the church.
