Leopoldo S. Del Rosario
November 15th, 1927 - April 3rd, 2017
Leopoldo Del Rosario, 89, was born on November 15, 1927 in Cabanatuan City. He is Abay to his wife, Carmencita; Tatay to his children, Lolo Pol to all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Sangco to all his nieces and nephews, and Kuya Ledo or Brother Pol to many. God-fearing, patient, loving, understanding, and kind Those were only a few adjectives that can describe him very well. He grew up in Cabanatuan City, Philippines and worked as an Auditor in the National Defense College of the Philippines and had the chance to work with Fidel V. Ramos, a former president of the Philippines; and as an Auditor in the Commission on Audit assigned to the NFA. He eventually retired before migrating to Seattle, Washington with his family. One of his most memorable traits is his sense of humor and joy. He was as a dance instructor in his prime and traveled the Philippines to teach dance, which explains his great dancing whenever theres an occasion during parties. He would also always laugh in stride whenever his grandchildren would pull pranks on him. He was a family man that put the needs of his family before his own, even until his last breath. He passed away peacefully on April 3, 2017 in the Philippines with his family at his bedside. Besides his wife, Carmencita, he is survived by his son Rolando and daughter-in-law Rosalita; his three daughters: Charito Del Rosario-Rimando, Joji and son-in-law Ken Hinners, and Menchi and son-in-law Orly Fandialan; Grandchildren: Marie Grace, Tristan, Camelia, Jannel, Elise, Leopaul, Bea, Cecille, and Prolan; Great-grandchildren: DAndre, Irvine, Alijah, Kobe, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to his family in Cabanatuan City, especially Mila and Emil whose dedication and service to him is priceless. We thank God for the gift of his life and the blessing of the time we spent with him. If, then, we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him. (Romans 6:8)
