Joseph Francis McGuire
February 2nd, 1933 - May 28th, 2017
Joseph (Joe) Francis McGuire of Edmonds Washington passed peacefully Sunday night class=m-2558164959518740272apple-converted-space. His wife of 60 years, Patricia (Pat) McGuire, three daughters and loyal Yorkshire Terrier Abbie were by his side. Joe was born in Washington DC on February 2, 1933 to Francis Gloster McGuire and Mary Frances Begler and graduated High School in Wilmington Illinois. He served 4 years in the Air Force stationed in Japan during the Korean War and worked for most of his life in the Steel Industry in the Midwest. After retiring in 1997, Joe and Pat moved from the Midwest to Washington. He loved boating, fishing, tinkering in the garage and spending time with family and friends. Before their move to Edmonds, Joe and Pat volunteered for years at the Marysville Food Bank.Joe is survived by his wife, Patricia McGuire; son Mark McGuire and his wife Victoria McGuire of Steamboat Springs Colorado; daughters Marcia DeVos and her husband Ken DeVos of Camano Island WA; Susan Dunster and her husband Chris Dunster of Everett WA; Margaret Boyle and her husband Steve Boyle of Freeland WA; his sister Kathy Bromberek and her husband Kenneth Bromberek of Fairfield TN; and his five grandchildren Jeremiah McGuire and his wife Tiffany McGuire, Jacob McGuire, Diane Morrison and her husband Shawn Morrison, Joseph Erickson and James Erickson.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Providence Hospice and Home Care of Snohomish County. Joes warm and welcoming smile will be missed by all who knew him.
