July 21st, 1956 - February 7th, 2018
Charles Michael Franklin, 61, of Frankfort, passed away, Wed. Feb. 7, 2018, at his home. He was born July 21, 1956, in Frankfort to Charles and Elsie Franklin. On May 26, 2000, he married Rhonda Barmore. Mike was a member of Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church in Midway. He dedicated his career to Lee Brick and Block for 43 years. He enjoyed golfing with his buddies, going to find antique treasures, Greg Howard auctions and spending time with family and friends. Mike was a loving husband, father, Granddaddy and friend to all. Mike is survived by his wife of 17 years, Rhonda; two daughters, Erin Franklin (Jason Earnest) of Frankfort and Annie (Bryce) Wilhite of Bowling Green; a son, Nathan Swatzyna of Frankfort; Memaw, Joyce Barmore of Frankfort; one sister, Debbie Aitken of Frankfort; two brothers, Jeff (Lori) Franklin and Danny (Jennifer) Franklin of Frankfort; two grandchildren, Rylee and Samuel Schaffner of Frankfort. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018, from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. with a service by Todd Lester at 3:00 p.m. at Clark Legacy Center in Frankfort. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bluegrass Care Navigators (Hospice), 663 Teton Trail, Frankfort KY 40601.
