Josephine "Josie" Williamson
July 7th, 1932 - February 16th, 2018
Josephine “Josie” Williamson, went to be with the Lord February 16, 2018. The widow of Tunis Williamson leaves two children Cathy (Eugene) Guy and Roger (Codie Deering) Williamson; grandchildren Shelly and Kristi Rowe, and Carly Guy, Ian and Kiara Williamson and great grandchild Elijah. She is preceded in death by her husband Tunis Williamson and parents Bill and Alta (Collins) Smith. Josie was the most giving person you could imagine. She showed this by cooking for the church, picking and sharing strawberries, or sending a pot of biscuits and gravy with her husband to share at work. She was a homebody, but did sit for many children over the years. In her younger years, she enjoyed camping with the family. People said that there wasn’t a mean bone in her body, and she lived life with the philosophy that you should “Kill ‘em With Kindness”. Her faithful attendance 3 times each week at church was probably the reason that she always had a smile on her face and lived life as a happy person. Visitation will be 5:30-7:30, Tuesday, February 20, 2018 and the service is at 11AM Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing. A private burial is at Blue Grass Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Lexington Humane Society, 1600 Old Frankfort Pike, Lexington, KY 40504.
