Thurman R. Cooper, 87 of Lexington, KY departed this life on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at his home in Lexington, KY. Thurman was born on January 13, 1931 in Pulaski County, KY to the late Preston and Maggie (Phelps) Cooper. He was the widow of the Love of His Life, Elizabeth Ann (Jones) Cooper who preceded him in death on August 13, 2013. He is survived by his only child, Thurman (Buddy) Cooper and his wife Beverly of Lexington, KY. Thurman was a printer by trade and was the owner and operator of TAB Graphic Arts of Lexington, KY. He was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Lexington, and a member of Masonic Hart Lodge #61 of Nicholasville, KY He also served in the United States Air Force where he was a Staff Sergeant in the Korean War Conflict. Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Paul Cooper, Frankie Cooper, Elmer Cooper, Ray Cooper, Roy Cooper and Stanley Cooper all of Somerset, KY. In addition to being survived by his son and daughter-in-law, he leaves behind his dog Jackson Cooper and several nieces and nephews. Visitation for Family and Friends will be from 5-8PM, Friday, February 23, 2018 at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing. Burial and Graveside Service is at Camp Nelson on Monday, February 26, 2018 at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in his name to the Shepherds House, 154 Bonnie Brae Drive, Lexington, KY 40508.
