Barry Sheldon Hark, 59, of Venice, FL passed away peacefully at home on March 11, 2014. Barry was born August 3, 1954 in Philadelphia, PA to Marcia (Singer) and Kenneth Hark. He enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing and collecting antiques. He was an avid Philadelphia Flyers fan and enjoyed watching the Tampa Bay Rays. During his lifetime he worked as a plumber in the family business, a musician and a Power Seller on Ebay. Survivors include his beloved wife, Sindy; children: Jeremy (Kim) and Pamela (Bill); grandchild, Mela; parents: Marcia and Kenneth Hark; brother, Lester and sister Jodi (Michael); his golden retriever Astro. He is survived by his loving mother-in-law, Paula Roth; brother-in-laws, Norman (Sherry), Mark (Sharon), Alan (Stacy); nieces and nephews, Matt (Kerrie), Maxine, Sara, Nicole (Chris), Jordan, Ben, Evelyn, and Theo; and great nieces, Aviva and Elle and a host of long-time friends. A Prayer Service will be held at the Jewish Community Service of Venice, 600 North Auburn Road, Venice, FL 34293 at 11 AM, Monday, March 17. Donations may be sent to Tidewell Hospice, Philanthropy Department, 5955 Rand Boulevard, Sarasota, FL 34238, Tidewell.org or a charity that is meaningful to your family.
