Larry Allen Fowler
May 18th, 1938 - May 10th, 2018
Larry Allen Fowler, 79, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018. Married 59 years to Diana June Hudson Fowler, he was born May 18, 1938 to the late Clifford Fowler and Tyleen Miller in Louisville, KY. He attended Valley Station High School, Western Kentucky University and University of Louisville. He earned a Masters degree in Public Health Administration from Oklahoma University, and was employed by the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education for 35 years, retiring at age 70. Larry served in the Kentucky Air National Guard, 123rd Tactical Hospital which allowed him to travel to many parts of the world. He earned the rank of Senior Master Sergeant after 23 years of service, including active service during Operation Desert Storm. Larry lived all over the United States and enjoyed golf, running, and playing the guitar. In addition to his wife, Diana, Larry is survived by their children, Felicia (Shawn) Reaves, Lawrenceburg, Holly (Dave) Wellman, Lawrenceburg, and Jason Allen Fowler, Lawrenceburg; grandchildren, Hannah Katherine Sutherland, Taylorsville, Dylan Fowler Reaves, Louisville, and Casey Dawn Fowler, NY; and many, many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Tyleen, sister, Tyleen Farmer, and a brother, Gerald Lee Fowler. A Memorial Service for family only is planned for a later date. The family requests any expressions of sympathy in the form of contributions to The Alzheimer's Foundation.
