Dellazine Miller Moran

Dellazine Moran, of Edmonds, WA passed away on Tuesday July 14, 2015. She was born in Penns Grove, N.J., July 5, 1929. As she liked to say she was born in the East, reared in the South and moved and lived in the Pacific Northwest. She belonged to Green Acres Baptist Church, and was the daughter of Mayme and Tracy Miller, who preceded her in death. Her husband William Bill Moran preceded her in 2012. She graduated from Okolona High School in 1947. She earned her BA from Bowling Green Business University, her MA from University of Kentucky, and her doctorate from Western Kentucky University, all in business education and guidance and counseling. She taught business education for 17 years in the Oldham County school system and 16 years in Edmonds School District. She was a life member of KY Education Assoc., Secretary of KBEA, Life member AVA and WVA and belonged to WBEA and WWBEA. She belonged to and was active in Altrusa Club of Seattle, Hatasu Temple #1 Daughters of the Nile, and Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America Ahmes Court #41. She did voluntary work for Nile Hospital Transportation, and Rotary Club of Edmonds. She was a KY Colonel and a WA General. She was a member of Puget Sound DAR, and was a member and active in Okolona Womans Club. Visiting hours will be on Fri., July 31 from 12-2pm followed by a celebration of life service at 2pm at the Pearson Funeral Home with burial following at Resthaven Memorial Park.
