Barbara Cornelsen (Koepke) Bradshaw, formerly of Glenview, IL passed on Friday, April 20 in Venice, FL at the age of 66. Beloved wife of Barry Bradshaw, preceded in death by her husband John F. Cornelsen and mother Marcia Jean Koepke. Also survived by her brother Scott (Cathy) Koepke and her father Frank K. Koepke; beloved mother of Casey (Brent) St. John and Kristie Cornelsen; dearest grandmother of Elizabeth, Andrew, Emma and Christopher. Barbara was heavily involved in her church and community, enjoying choir and card games. She was an avid golfer and lifelong curler. At one point she was acting Treasurer for the United States Curling Association, was on the Scot Tour and was on the bronze medal team at the 2002 Senior World Championships. She loved to travel, collect shark teeth on the beach with her grandchildren and spend time with family and friends. Barbara lived overseas for 17 years in Geneva, Switzerland and Paris, France. Over the past four years, she most enjoyed spending the summers with Barry, making new friends and enjoying the lake at the cottage up in upstate New York. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, earmarked for the Relay For Life of Venice, 2970 University Parkway, Suite 104, Sarasota, FL 34243 or to the John F. Cornelsen Scholarship Fund, c/o DePauw University, Office of Advancement, P.O. Box 37, Greencastle, IN 46135 (please make check payable to DePauw University and reference the scholarship in the memo) A celebration of life service will held on Monday, April 23 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 790 Tamiami Trail, Venice, FL 34285 at 10:00 AM.
