Judy Holtzclaw Myers
March 29th, 1958 - November 17th, 2020
Judy was born March 29, 1958 and passed away quietly on November 17, 2020 at the St. Joseph Hospice Care Center in Lexington after a long battle with colon cancer. She was born Judy Holtzclaw, daughter of Gene Holtzclaw and Betty Ridgell Holtzclaw (later Jones). She was born in Lexington, but along the way lived in Glasgow KY, St. Louis MO, and the Washington DC area, returning to Lexington permanently in 1976. Judy was a graduate of the University of Kentucky, and was a member of the Order of Kentucky Colonels. She worked for many years as the office manager for Sisler Maggard Engineering in Lexington Judy was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her son and embraced every moment with him. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh, making friends easily everywhere she went. She was a passionate photographer, shooting weddings, portraits, and events all over central Kentucky. She also shot for Tops in Lex magazine, covering scores of local events and parties. Judy is survived by her husband of 10+ years, Brian Myers, one son, Bill (Emily) Williams of Lexington, her sister Penny (Roberto) Dominguez of Nicholasville KY and her brother Brad (Karen) Holtzclaw of Lexington, plus a number of nieces, cousins, and extended family. Visitation will be at the Clark Legacy Center, 601 E. Brannon Rd, Nicholasville, KY on November 19th from 12:00 until 2:00, the funeral will follow at 2:00. Burial will follow at the Lexington Cemetery. Please Note: Due to current COVID regulations, the visitation will be limited to 50 persons at any given time, and the funeral itself will be immediate family only.
