Carol Ruth Detomasi

; color: #262626 Carol Ruth Detomasi (Reed), a long-time resident of Edmonds WA, passed peacefully in October of 2010 at the home she recently shared with her daughter Mary Anne and family in Juneau AK. background: white; margin: 6pt 0in ; color: #262626 Born in 1919 in Ranchester, Wyoming, Carol received her degree in nursing from the University of Portland in 1945 and worked as a RN in hospitals throughout Washington State until landing at Stevens Hospital in Edmonds Washington in 1968. There she spent nearly 20 years as a critical care nurse until her retirement in 1985. background: white; margin: 6pt 0in ; color: #262626 Carol met John F. Detomasi in Walla Walla while he was recuperating from wounds received during WWII in the Aleutian Islands. They were married a short time later in San Luis Obispo in 1946. Carol and John, surrounded by family and friends, celebrated their 60 th wedding anniversary in 2005. Carol loved family, socializing, holidays, travel and playing bridge. Detomasi, six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Carol is to join her husband John, already at rest, at Holyrood cemetery in Shoreline, Washington.
