Gary Michael Tyson, 70, husband of Patricia Tyson for 50 years, passed away on December 4, 2022 in Lexington. Gary was born in Lexington, Kentucky on April 26, 1952 to the late Mary Margaret Carter. Gary served in the Army and was stationed in Germany. He was the proud owner of Crown Trophy in Lexington for many years. Gary was known to have a love of Soccer, coaching and watching games whenever he could. He also loved spending time in the outdoors, fishing and hiking with family. He was deeply loved by his friends and family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his wife, Patricia, Gary is survived by his two sons, Ryan (Ashley) Tyson, of Lexington, and Bradley Tyson, of Lexington; his brothers, Kenneth (Linda) Tyson, of Nicholasville, Lloyd Tyson, of Nicholasville, and Mark (Beverly) Tyson, of Nicholasville; step-brothers, Ronnie Carter, of Garrard County, and Glenn (Paula) Carter, of Lexington; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Tyson, Ava Tyson, and Cailie Tyson, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, Gary was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Linda Tyson. A gathering of friends and family will be held for Gary on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 5pm till 7pm at Clark Legacy Center-Brannon Crossing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Mr. Gary Tyson to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's research.
