Barbara Jean Fields Howard
October 20th, 1942 - December 13th, 2022
Barbara Jean Fields Howard, 80, wife of George F. Howard, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022. She was born in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Edwin P. and Vlaire Moberly Fields on October 20, 1942. Mrs. Howard was a talented seamstress and co-owner for Howard Knight Tall and Big. She had such a giving heart, helping anyone in need. She loved making her rum cakes and giving them to loved ones and friends during Christmas. In addition to her husband, she will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Edwin Lamb, Wilmore, and Brian (Lisa) Lamb, Nicholasville; sister, Phyllis (William) Little, Lexington; stepdaughters, Edith (Bush) Gess and Ann Tsamas, both of Lexington; grandson, Wyatt Lamb, Lexington; 8 step grandchildren and 9 step great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Steven Lamb and her brother, Paul Fields. A Celebration of Life Service will be 7:00 PM Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing. A Gathering of Family and Friends will follow from 7:30PM until 8:30PM at the Legacy Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Appalachian Flood Relief Foundation.
