Alexander John Kowalczik, age 92, of Venice, Florida, passed away on May 4, 2010. He was born on January 23, 1918 in Unionville, New York. He was a truck driver for Palmer Transportation in Chester, New York for 25 years and retired in 1981. He resided in Weston, New York for 61 years and was a lifetime member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in South Centerville, New York. He moved to Venice in 2001 where he attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He is survived by his daughters, Catherine (John Harman of Venice, Debra (Michael) Guido of Fort Myers, Florida, Florida; sons, Robert Kowalczik, Paul (Michele) Kowalczik both of Cocoa, Florida; two sisters, Jean Palmer of Warwick, New York, Eleanor Elder of Middletown, New York and a brother, Leo Kowalczik of Westtown, New York. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Services and burial will be held in Pine Island, New York. Farley Funeral Home in Venice, Florida is handling the arrangements.
