Judith Ellen Brooks Willey
February 18th, 1937 - August 5th, 2023
Judith Ellen Brooks Willey passed away peacefully at Mayfair Manor in Lexington, KY on August 5, 2023. She was born in Detroit, MI on February 18, 1937. She was the daughter of Dr. C. Roy Brooks & Marjorie Daly Brooks, the sister of Charles Brooks and the wife of Roger D. Willey for 27 years. She is survived by her daughter Robin Oberto of Lexington and 3 sons, Jeff (Debbie) Willey of Windsor, NJ, Scott Willey of West Palm Beach, FL, and Rick (Lisa) of St. Augustine, FL. She was blessed with six grandchildren, Matthew & Michelle Oberto, Stephen & Samantha Willey, and Emily & April Willey plus one great grandson, Anderson Oberto. Judy graduated from Southeastern High School where she was the Editor of her HS Newspaper, graduated from WMU with a degree in Education and a member of Theta Sorority. While raising her family in Ashland, KY, she was in Junior League, became a substitute teacher, and was an avid tennis player at Bellefonte Country Club. The Willey Family would like to thank Hartland Hills Assisted Living & Mayfair Manor for taking great care of her the last seven years. Also, a shout out to the patrons of The Cork & Bull in Aiken, SC for 25 years friendship, fun and football. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Clark Legacy Center - Brannon Crossing is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in her memory to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
