Frank J. Fiola, age 83, of Sunset Lake Village Assisted Living Facility, Venice, Florida, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2009. Mr. Fiola was born on May 4, 1926 in Nyack, New York. He moved to Venice in 1970 with his wife Jacqueline. He opened Venice Sun Realty and was the sole realtor selling building lots in the Pinebrook South Subdivision in the mid 1970’s. Mr. Fiola retired from the real estate business in 1999. He served in WWII in the U.S. Army from 1944 to 1946 as a Staff Sgt., in the European Theater, France and Germany. He leaves his wife of 62 years, Jacqueline, also of Sunset Lake Village; his sister, Mary Charles of Venice, Florida and four nieces, Suzanne Johnson of Venice, Renee Britton of Virignia, Jeanmarie Milko of Lakewood Ranch and Michelle Pezzella of Sarasota. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, October 5, 2009 at Epiphany Cathedral. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association., P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, Texas 75284-0692. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
