A few years ago, during a family reunion on Longboat Key, our adult "kids" decided they wanted to review and "lock-in" our end-of-life desires/plans. We made an appointment to receive guidance from Farley. We chose Farley because a pastoral staff member at our church, Venice Presbyterian, had served several years with Farley. What a totally satisfying experience we had with a really smart and understanding "pro." Our family members have differences of opinion and are not always easy to deal with. Farley was totally open to each of SEVEN family members who took a few hours from the beach to "get our ducks in a row." We had decided that cremation was our preference. The family did not begin the Farley information session with a unanimous perspective. Shortly after our Farley session, while still on our reunion, the family was unanimous in its conclusion: Let's decide on the Farley cremation options AND PAY THE COSTS NOW "so that Mom and dad do not have to think about a thing after we leave reunion." In August, we learned that cancer cells had been aggressive and my wife's health was compromised and, in spite of appearances, she would not get better. We engaged the resources of hospice [Tidewell]. Smartest move anyone facing inevitable decline ought to do. Indeed, in September, just four days after the 91st birthday, completely unexpected two months earlier (Her reunion behavior, including a wonderful lunch with 17 of 22 adult grandchildren, was not noticeably affected by her condition.), my wife died. Farley IMMEDIATELY came into our family world EXACTLY AS THEY HAD PROMISED TO DO(!) and I can only say in the most positive way that I can, "The entire family LOVES Kimberly, our Farley connection. Kimberly "took us by the hand" and lovingly and efficiently guided both our hearts and our minds through the valley which appears upon the death of a lifetime loved person. I write this completely positive evaluation because our families' Farley experience has been completely positive . . . eight persons total (kids and spouses) happily said that my review was 100% accurate.

In a very stressful and unexpected time we met with Eric to arrange my husband' cremation. He was very caring and helpful explaining everything calmly. He was very understanding and kind.

Nobody wants to follow up with a Funeral Home, after the passing of a Parent. In My case, Both of My Parents had a Cremation Plan with, Originally Jennings Funeral Home in Sarasota, which is now run by Farley Funeral Home in Venice, FL on the island. In My case, My Father passed in July of 2020, and My Mother most recently on October 4th. What made a Depressing Situation tolerable was having two Wonderful Trained Professional Ladies, handling Both of My Parents Passing. Having two Familiar Faces in a Time of Grief is Huge. From the Bottom of My Heart I would like to Commend Elizabeth Kozin, who Both times Greeted Me when I first showed up at Jennings Funeral Home, and now Farley Funeral Home, And The second Familiar Face is Kimberly McClure, Who runs the Crematory. Both Ladies Treat You like Family, and take a Depressing Situation, and make it Tolerable. Thank You Both so Much. Farley Funeral Home is Fortunate to have Both of You. Thank You So Much~ Keith Baumer
