For more than 100 years, the Thomason Funeral Home has worked to help the Weiser community heal after loss. We help families plan funerals, cremation services, and celebration of life services.
Our story began in 1910 when Lloyd Northam opened the doors at the site now occupied by the current Weiser Elk’s Lodge. Since then, the business has had several names, partnerships, and owners. Among them was Dale Thomason, our namesake, who began working at the funeral home in the mid-1940s and purchased the home as a family business to run with his son.
At Thomason, we focus on helping your family with personalized care. We do everything we can to provide professional, compassionate support to every family that trusts us with their funeral arrangements. Along with our sister location in Ontario, Oregon, we help Treasure Valley families connect, honor, and remember their loved ones.

- Care of your loved one until cremation is complete.
- Cremation process and return of ashes.
- Consultation with responsible party for final arrangements.

- Many other optional services available - including celebration of life event planning, traditional funeral service, on-site catering, scattering assistance, and more - at additional charge.

Burial Services Starting At

- Includes all of the essential services of the funeral director and staff;
- Removal of your loved one as well as transportation to the cemetery for burial (within a 30 mile radius of the funeral home).
- Care of your loved one until burial is complete.

Thomason Funeral Home helped make the process easier preparing for my Mother's passing. Though the planning and paperwork were with utmost professionalism; the atmosphere and people guiding us was warm and comforting.

My experience with Thomason funeral home was a good one with both my parents. With my mom just over two years ago they had everything ready for me. Because my mom took care of everything ready for when she passed away. Then with my dad recently everything with them went smoothly. They did everything in a timely manner. Thank you for everything you all did for me with both my parents. It is appreciated more than you all will ever know.

This was my first time as someone responsible for anyone passing. It is heartbreaking and emotional and overwhelming. Gary and Julie were so wonderful. Patient and responsive. They held my hand throughout the process. They recommended without overselling or underselling. The entire process although awful in spirit was seamless. I cannot be more grateful for the service I received throughout my experience.
