Eugene’s Premier Cemetery for 135 Years

Established in 1889, Mt. Calvary Cemetery is considered one of the most beautiful and serene places in the south hills of Eugene. Over three acres in a quiet forested setting offer many respectful options for those seeking a lasting tribute.

Mt. Cavalry is owned by the Archdiocese of Portland and managed by Musgrove Family Mortuary. A large portion of this historic cemetery is open to all faiths. With an abundance of wildlife and beautiful views of Coburg Hills to the north and Spencer Butte to the south, generations of Eugene families entrust their loved ones to Mt. Cavalry.

Our options include traditional ground burial, mausoleums, and a cremation columbarium. Choosing Mt. Cavalry for a permanent memorial ensures your family a unique and meaningful connection for today and years to come.

Beautiful Catholic cemetery. Serene with many people laid to rest here. Follow the road and arrows up the hill to find parking and it loops for easy leaving. 💛

Very nice in the summer, but not winter. Great place to walk. I discovered it trying to find a Pokemon-go stop.

A lovely cemetery, with a beautiful walking trail and well-maintained grounds. I run through here often and it’s always quiet and peaceful. There’s a great running path that runs up the back of the cemetery off of Olive and 34th, one of my favorite routes.

A small, quiet, attractive, and peaceful cemetery that is well-maintained. I hope to join my wife there in the future.
