Alice J. Allen of Haines City, Florida passed away peacefully on November 9, 2021. She was 84. She was born on April 15, 1937, in White Plains, New York to William and Edith Coombs Bates and moved to Haines City in 1980 from New York. Alice was retired from Disney after working with them for 22 years. She was a member of Calvary First Assembly of God in Haines City, where she was very active, she was once a Sunday school teacher and after retirement she was heard to say, “if the church doors are open, that’s where I will be”. Outside of church, Alice Loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her father, William Bates and mother, Edith Stevens; husband, Ernest Allen and son, Bradley Amo. Alice is survived by her children, Richard T. Amo, Jr., Debra Arnold, Winifred Burgess, Jeffrey Amo, Michelle Pickett; siblings, Ethel Williams, Ritchie Bates, Diane Alvarino; fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Alice will be laid to rest in a private family service in Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City.
