Alice E. Baxley, age 95, of Nokomis, FL, died on December 31, 2015. She was born in Malden, MA on July 23, 1920 to Alan and Winifred Whiteaker. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Surviving family members include her daughter, Betty Montgomery (David) of Apopka; son Richard Baxley (Gloria) of OldTown; sisters Ruth Daughtry of Punta Gorda and Edith Herbalshiemer of Minnesota; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson S. Baxley, brothers Alan Whiteaker, Russell Whiteaker, Robert Whiteaker, Richard Whiteaker, John Whiteaker and Donale Whiteaker, and her sister, Dorothy Baxley. A Funeral Service will be held at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel, on January 2, 2016 at 1 PM. Burial will be at IndianSpringsCemetery in Punta Gorda.
