On January 21, 2021, Allen Harvey Seiss, 86 years old passed away from numerous complication in Sarasota Memorial Intensive Care Unit. Allen, a resident of North Port, Florida was born in Pleasantville, New Jersey on February 24, 1934. Allen was a loving, devoted and adoring husband to Marianne Basile-Seiss, also of New Jersey. Surviving are his four children from a previous marriage, Christine Seiss, Kathleen Cilurso, Michael Seiss of Texas, also Allen Seiss of New Jersey. Also surviving are several grandchildren. Allen, one of ten children is predeceased by nine brothers and sisters. He began working and learning to hustle a buck at the tender age of eight selling Fudgy Wudgy on the beach, shining shoes in the Cotton Club for the soldiers and selling bananas at 2lbs for a quarter. All of these things taught him to be a good provider for his family. He worked as a crane operator out of Local 825 Operating Engineers Union in New Jersey. Some of his accomplishments were building the casinos in Atlantic City, but never a gambler. Other projects were buildings, bulkheads, bridges, and concrete work. After retiring he formed his own company doing heavy construction for several years. His real accomplishment had nothing to do with his career but his ability to make friends and to have people love him for his giving heart and smile. Regardless of his pain or disabilities he always had a smile on his face and a welcome greeting for everyone passing by with their furry friends. He always made sure he had treats to give the dogs as he loved them and couldn't wait for them to pass. When he introduced himself to a new resident in the community, he would tell them my name is ""Al, Al everybody's pal."" He truly was every bodies pal because he just loved people. In spite of his disabilities, he would always offer to give a helping hand, which usually meant he was volunteering his wife. He was a loyal supporter of Wounded Warriors, Shriners, St. Jude, and Smile Train. RIP Al knowing you were loved and will truly be missed. Fun day with Reece learning to play war.
