WEST COLUMBIA—Funeral services for Andrew Jackson Hutto, Sr., 86, of West Columbia, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012 at First Baptist Church of West Columbia. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Lonnie H. Shull and Rev. Charlton Bozard. Burial will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Memorial may be made in his honor to First Baptist Church of West Columbia, PO Box 4898, West Columbia, SC 29071. Mr. Hutto, beloved husband of the late Colette Rikard Hutto, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2012. Born in West Columbia, he was the son of the late Gideon Thomas Hutto and Nettie Fail Hutto. He was a lifetime area resident and a member of First Baptist Church of West Columbia and the American Legion - Post 79. Andrew was Seaman 1st Class of the United States Navy serving his country during WWII. He retired from Atlantic Coast Life Insurance after many years of devoted service. Surviving are his daughter, Anita Stokes (Mitchell) of Aiken; son, Andy Hutto, Jr. (Karen) of West Columbia; grandchildren, Leah Suddeth (Blake), Andrea Stokes and Christopher Hutto; sisters, Eugenia Woodall of Cayce, Merlene Byars (Friedeich Klutzow) of Cayce, Raye Livingston (Robert) of West Columbia; brother, Robert Hutto (Marjorie) of FL. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Byrdie Mintz and Maggie Mae Williamson; three brothers, Tarleton Hutto, G.C. Hutto and Norman Hutto.
