Anita Dowling Morris of Venice passed away peacefully on August 18, 2014, beloved wife of the late Norman L. Morris, mother of Joan Anita Morris of Venice and Wayne Dowling Morris of London, England, grandmother of Andrew Dowling Morris and Katherine Julia Morris of California and aunt of three nephews and one niece. She was preceded in death by her sister Dorothy Dowling Wernsdorfer. She was born on January 18, 1920 in Baltimore, Maryland and was married for over 69 years. Before starting her family she was employed by Johns Hopkins Hospital and the U.S. Government. In 1982 she and Norman relocated from Potomac, Maryland to Englewood, Florida. She was an active member of the Myakka Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Englewood Genealogical Society. A memorial service will be held at Englewood United Methodist Church at 11:00AM on Friday, September 26, 2014.. Those who wish may make contributions to Englewood United Methodist Church, 700 E.
