Ann Carla Hansen-Iversen, 77, of Venice, FL, died on June 6, 2010 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Ann was born on March 13, 1933 in Detroit, MI. Ann graduated from Marygrove College in Detroit in 1954. She taught in the Pierre, South Dakota school system for 10 years. Her favorite teaching subject was Language Arts, primarily German. She taught 1 year at Venice High School in 1966. Ann and her husband, Larry, moved to Venice in 1965. She was co-owner of Iversen Jewelry until retirement in 1983. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah A. Iversen, of Sarasota, FL; and a son, Lawrence G. Iversen of Pierre, South Dakota.
