Antonio Delfino Medina known as "Tony" was born on September 20, 1930, to parents Nasario Medina and Anita Vigil, in San Pablo, Colorado, also known as "El Rito". Tony married Carmen Monica Medina on February 16, 1962 in Denver, Colorado. They were married for 56 years before she gained her wings into heaven on February 16, 2020. He is survived by his sisters, Mary Taylor and Maria Eufemia Barela. Siblings who have departed are Creselda Medina, Celestino Medina, Clorinda Medina, Margie Gallegos, Joe U. Medina, Albert Medina, and Joe James also known as "Elias". He is also survived by children: Lisa Ohrt, Roberta Dominguez, and Felix Medina; grandchildren: Stephanie Torres, Shanel Dominguez, Josh White, Dominic Dominguez, and Nicole Medina; and great grandchildren: Isabel Montanez, Carmen Torres, Ezekiel Dominguez, Moses Torres, Nathan Cavazos-Medina, and Natalie Torres-Medina. Tony and his wife Carmen babysat and cared for many children that they loved as their very own (Areli Chang, Carolina Garcia, Imelda Garcia, Vanessa Garcia, Cristobal Garcia, and Benjamin Cordova). Tony loved God, his family, and everyone who came into his precious life. He loved life to the very fullest and passed away peacefully in his home. He loved the outdoors and especially fishing with family and friends. He was so well known in East Denver for wearing his cowboy hat and boots and was a true cowboy. He would say "you can't mess with a country boy". He was kind, generous, humble, loving, brave, creative, and "one of a kind". He made his own toys when he was young. He loved music and would sing "Las Maanitas", the Spanish birthday song, to all his family and friends. He was an active person and loved to garden and plant flowers. He loved going to the Flea Market and shopping at the thrift stores that he would call "segunda". He loved watching wrestling, boxing, and the Denver Broncos. Tony had such a unique and kind soul. He left a mark on anyone he knew or came across. He was caring, thoughtful, and very giving. He would always have a full bag of groceries and knick knacks for anybody who went to visit and his hospitality was unmatched. Tony was loved by all and will be forever in our hearts and will truly be missed. He left a legacy of memories and love to last more than a lifetime. Heaven gained more than an angel on July 31, 2022. He is now home with Jesus and rejoicing in heaven with his beautiful wife. Our beloved Antonio Delfino Medina "Tony", rest in peace, we'll love you forever. Pallbearers: Patrick Gallegos, James Gallegos, Josh White, Dominic Dominguez, Jose Torres, Kevin Montelongo, Ventura Rodriguez, and Nicolas "Nico" Torres Honorable Pallbearers: Moses Torres, Ezekiel Dominguez, and Nathan Cavazos-Medina "We Had a Wonderful Grandfather" We had a wonderful grandfather, one who never really grew old; his smile was made of sunshine, and his heart was solid gold; his eyes were as bright as shining stars and in his cheeks fair roses you see. We had a wonderful grandfather, and that's the way it will always be. But take heed because he's still keeping an eye on all of us, so let's make sure he will like what he sees. The family of Tony would like to extend their greatest and most sincere gratitude and appreciation for all the love, support, and prayers. We would also like to give a special thanks to our funeral director, Yasmin Garcia; Tony and his wife Carmen considered her mother (Carolina Garcia) like a granddaughter and Yasmin herself as a great granddaughter, which makes us very humbled and honored for all of her help during this difficult time.
