Arthur Lewis Freeman June 1936 - October 2022 Mesa, AZ Arthur Lewis Freeman, a lifelong resident of Lehi/Mesa, Arizona, recently passed away in his home surrounded by family. Arthur was born in Mesa, AZ to Muriel and Andrew Allen Freeman. Arthur was the youngest of four children. He was preceded in death by his wife Anita, his parents, brother Wayne and sister Marlene. He is survived by his sister Dixie, his seven children, Michelle Smith, Allen Freeman (Shelly), Lewis Freeman (Trecia), Gayle Lindsay, Kaye Hunsaker (Mark), Diane Horne (Deron), Mark Freeman (Rachel), 25 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren. Arthur attended Lehi Elementary School, Mesa High (Class of 1954), and Arizona State University (B.S. with distinction in Agriculture). He enjoyed being part of the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps with thoughts of joining the Air Force. Arthur and Anita were married June of 1957 in the Mesa Arizona Temple. They resided in the Mesa/Lehi area their entire lives. Arthur loved farming and the rural life. He enjoyed fishing, camping at "Ditch Camp" and trail riding with great friends. Art and Anita's cabin in Greer, AZ was also a favorite place for them. Arthur was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved to serve others. He served in many church callings including Bishop of the Lehi 1st Ward. Arthur and Anita also served a mission for the church in the Florida, Jacksonville Mission. A visitation for family and friends will be, Thursday, October 13, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Hermosa Vista Stake Center, 2701 E Lehi Rd. Mesa, AZ 85213.
