Austin W. Leggett, 23, of 121 Flower Ave., Watertown, NY passed away January 4, 2015. Born on January 21, 1991 in St. Petersburg, FL, son of David W. Leggett and Laura L. Barnes. He attended Winter Haven High School. He entered the US Army on April 26, 2010, trained at Ft. Benning, GA, served in Korea, and arrived at Fort Drum in 2011.He was deployed to Afghanistan from January 2013 to September 2013. He married Mary Katherine "Katie" Widner of Auburndale, FL on October 18, 2013.The couple resided in Watertown. Austin enjoyed archery, hunting, snowboarding, wakeboarding, fishing, and playing guitar. Among his survivors are his wife Katie Widner Leggett of Auburndale, FL; father and stepmother, David W. and Kathy Leggett of Winter Haven; mother and stepfather, Laura L. and Dr. Jeffry Barnes of Winter Haven; paternal grandparents, Frank and Eloise Leggett of Lakeland, FL; maternal grandmother and her husband, Peggy and Anthony Dorta of Tampa; maternal grandfather and his wife Clete and Anne Van Nocker of Cape Coral, FL; a brother, Tyler L. Leggett of Orlando, FL; a sister and brother in law, Stacia and Geoff Parker of Tampa; a niece Leyton Parker; a nephew, Sebastian Parker; two stepbrothers, Bryson and David Macchione of FL; his dog Ginger and his cat, Chloe. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Winter Haven.
