A funeral service celebrating the life of Barbara E. Corbett, 66, of Columbia will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 in Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00p.m. on Monday evening at Greenlawn Funeral Home. On-line condolences may be sent to www.greenlawnmemorialparkandfh.com. The family has entrusted Greenlawn Funeral Home with the arrangements. Mrs. Corbett departed this earthly life on Thursday, August 5, 2011. She was born in Berlin, Germany on January 1, 1945. Barbara retired from Fort Jackson Army Base on April 30, 2011 after 27 years of dedicated service having worked at Kennedy Hall and Jack?s Inn as the manager. Surviving are her loving husband, Danny Corbett, II; her children, Charles Wesley (Josie) Cole, Betrice Schroder and Tonya Schroder; a step-son, Danny Corbett, III; four grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
