Barbara Brillhart Fowler was born in Memphis, Tennessee on November 12, 1943. She passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on August 26, 2024.

Barbara moved to the Ocala area from Hialeah, Florida in 1973. She built a life that was filled with love, family, and friends.

Barbara was a woman of many passions. She enjoyed playing cards, dice, and board games, always bringing a spirit of fun and competition to every gathering. Her creative side flourished in her love for crocheting and knitting, and she found great joy in reading. Above all, Barbara loved to travel, especially when it meant visiting family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Fowler. Barbara is survived by her son, Kenneth Fowler (Debbie) of Ocala, Florida, and her daughter, Karen Elfers (James) of Summerfield, Florida. She also leaves behind her mother, Rose Aileen Webber; her brother, Jim Brillhart (Cindy) of Hawthorne, Florida; and her sister, Rosemary Van Tassel (Dan Phillips) of Hilliard, Florida. Barbara was a proud grandmother to Crystal McCullough (Kenny), Scott Ward (Jamie), Leah Reichmuth (Nick), and Jenna Elfers, as well as a devoted great-grandmother to Connor, Cooper, Logan, Mikaela, and Lily.

Sherry Fowler

Bobbie and I were sister-in-laws for more than 60 years. She was always the one with a smile and laughter. As young women just married, we saw each other through happy times, bad times Good times and we all loved camping. She was there for me when my dad died and when my mother passed. She was there for conversations and comfort when my husband passed. She loved playing cards and had a lot of friends . I love you, Bobbie. I'll see you again.

Bobbie was a dear friend from way back to our school years, we would walk home from school together and I was always at her house! We lost touch after my marriage because I moved away, my husband being in the service. We reconnected here in Ocala in 2005 where my hubby and I retired. She had tried to find me during the years but no luck(long story). I'll miss her a lot but look forward to seeing her again!❤sleep well Bobbie.
