When your family is going through a difficult situation of losing your loved one, making funeral and service arrangements can be emotionally challenging. Our family was fortunate to have the caring folks of Hiers-Baxley to help us through this time. A gentle and kind approach is what we needed, with also the right temperament to keep things organized and on track, even while our family was grieving. Hiers-Baxley was there for us, represented our desires, and showed their care for each of our thoughts and wishes in honoring our mom. We never felt rushed or pressured, and if anything felt relieved for their team to handle things for us and per our families wishes. From our first call through to the day of service, their team was present with us through the full journey. Their care and attention to detail allowed our family focus our time on our loved one - to grieve, celebrate, share, and pay our respects for a beautiful life lived.

Words alone cannot describe the feeling of relief I felt hiring Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, when my sister died. While I was in the process of making arrangements for the inevitable, Hiers-Baxley was able to not only walk me through the entire process and procedure of a cremation, but also assisted me in finding a Hindu Priest to officiate the funeral. It was a very small funeral! Less than 10 people. Galen and the staff in Ocala, treated me like family. They helped with everything. Not a single detail was missing. I am a catholic. Hiers-Baxley completely impressed me with their multi cultural/ poly theistic knowledge and expertise. They found the perfect pundit to accommodate my sisters style of practice, and even walked me through the Hindu funeral process, done at their facility. I thank god for the wonderful young lady who assisted me with dressing my sister for the funeral. It felt like I was talking to a friend. Thank you to Paul from the Villiages office, who was so flexible with his time. Thank you Hiers-Baxley from the bottom of my heart!

Robert Howie gave us a beautiful, caring example of how this funeral home conducts their business. We were able to proactively arrange our grandmother’s service with grace and clarity. Robert personally delivered our plans as well as coming to us when we were unable to leave. Couldn't ask for a better experience in this very sad time.
