Words alone cannot describe the feeling of relief I felt hiring Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, when my sister died. While I was in the process of making arrangements for the inevitable, Hiers-Baxley was able to not only walk me through the entire process and procedure of a cremation, but also assisted me in finding a Hindu Priest to officiate the funeral. It was a very small funeral! Less than 10 people. Galen and the staff in Ocala, treated me like family. They helped with everything. Not a single detail was missing. I am a catholic. Hiers-Baxley completely impressed me with their multi cultural/ poly theistic knowledge and expertise. They found the perfect pundit to accommodate my sisters style of practice, and even walked me through the Hindu funeral process, done at their facility. I thank god for the wonderful young lady who assisted me with dressing my sister for the funeral. It felt like I was talking to a friend. Thank you to Paul from the Villiages office, who was so flexible with his time. Thank you Hiers-Baxley from the bottom of my heart!

Robert Howie gave us a beautiful, caring example of how this funeral home conducts their business. We were able to proactively arrange our grandmother’s service with grace and clarity. Robert personally delivered our plans as well as coming to us when we were unable to leave. Couldn't ask for a better experience in this very sad time.

Mr. Robert Howie,was just the person that had just spent so much time making me feel so much better for my life.It is now complete to know that my wishes are taken care of once I pass . No burden on my kids and friends. I owe him so much for making a scary time the best and made me feel great walking out the door knowing we both are taken care of. A heartfelt thanks to Bruce Sessler and staff (especially Debbie Green) at Hiers-Baxley for making my Mom's funeral arrangements as stress-free as possible during a difficult time. Having an out-of-state service can be a logistical nightmare, however, Bruce took care of everything with compassion and kindness. His recommendation of Pastor Jerry Culpepper, when our Pastor of choice was not availble, proved to be a blessing. Mom's service was as she had requested and we could not have had a more caring provider.
