Barbara Alyce Holte

Barbara Alyce Henninger Holte, 63 of Cloquet passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016 in her home. She was born June 2, 1953 in Moose Lake to Edwin and Alyce Henninger. Barb grew up in Barnum and graduated from Barnum High School in 1971. Barb had a passion for music. She played the guitar and sang in many local bands over the years. She received many awards and was the first to be named Miss Minnesota Country Music. More recently she enjoyed going to the Outreach Center in Cloquet for jam sessions. Barb is survived by her children, Jason (Leina) Holte of South St. Paul and Jenny (Adam) Kiminski of Cloquet; parents, Edwin and Alyce Henninger of Barnum; brother, Loren Henninger of Barnum; sister, Sheri Davis of Barnum; and five grandchildren, Tayah Holte, Brylee, Araya, Tenley and Isaac Kiminski. Visitation: 10 until the 11:00 a.m. Memorial Service Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in the Atkins Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St., Cloquet. A time of lunch and fellowship will follow in the Fireside Room of the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Barnum.
