Barbara Lynn Smith Solem, 66 of Culver passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident near Webster, Wisconsin. She was born on November 5, 1954 in Duluth to Leo and Ingrid Smith. She was raised in Proctor and graduated from Proctor High School in 1973. Barb owned Northland Wreaths, as well as a tax preparation service and was a bus driver for South Ridge School. She was a member of multiple motorcycle groups, the Cowboy Fast Draw Association, Twin Ports Dance Group, Lakehead Harvest Reunion and the Patriot Guard. Her other hobbies included her hobby farm, cycling and shooting. She was always willing to lend a hand to anyone. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Kari Solem Brewer. She is survived by her sister, Connie (Michael) Labuda from Carlton; niece, Rachel (Brent) Micken of Esko; great-nieces, Olivia Micken of St. Cloud and Aubrey Micken of Esko; and a great-nephew, Parker Micken of Esko. Visitation: 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service, Monday, September 20, 2021 in Atkins Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet.
