Barbara Kay Stover, of Venice, Florida died Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Venice Regional Medical Center. Barbara was born August 26, 1932 in Lansing, Michigan to Lena (Ristau) Burgess and Carl J. Dunneback. She married J. Donald Stover in 1954 and they were married 54 years before his death in 2009. Barb moved to Venice in 1996 from Syracuse N.Y. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Venice. Family was everything to Barbara and she loved the times they spent together. She also valued time spent with her many friends. Those who knew her would describe her as a sweet, kindhearted, loving person who will be greatly missed by all. Barbara is survived by her daughter Cynthia (Jim) Hook of Tecumseh, Michigan; son Scott (Barbara) Stover of New Hope, PA; grandchildren Jill and Hillary Stover and Tristan Hook. Sister Gail (Bill) Smith of Lansing Michigan; brother Joe Burgess of Dimondale Michigan; and beloved nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2014 at 11:00AM at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Venice.
