Bebra Joyce Jenkins July 10, 1951 ~ August 5, 2021 Our Beloved Mother, Bebra Joyce Jenkins, 70, of Monroe, LA. went home to be with the Lord on August 5th, 2021, in Aurora, CO. She was born July 10th,1951 in Russellville, Arkansas to parents David Flake Sr. and Idell Ridley. She received Christ at early age and was baptized at age seven. Bebra graduated from Central High School in Omaha, Nebraska in 1969. She participated and sang in the Central High School Acapella Choir. She was also active and prominent in local political activism and earned the prestigious Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Award in 1968. She went onto achieve a successful career in telecommunications working for Mountain Bell, Northwestern Bell, USWest and Qwest for 30 years until her retirement as an executive manager in 2001. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in 2012 in Multidisciplinary Studies graduating Cum Laude and earned her Master of Art in Psychology Graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2014 from LeTourneau University, Longview Texas. Post retirement, Bebra worked as a educator for the Clayton Early Learning School (Denver), City of Monroe Public Schools and Ouachita Parish Schools District in Louisiana until 2020. She was a dedicated member of King Baptist Church and First Missionary Baptist Church (Monroe). She volunteered throughout her life, lastly at Colorado Community Church providing early childhood education to the youth ministry. She is proceeded in death by Father, David Flake Sr., Mother, Idell Ridley-Newman, Brother, Luster Flake and grandson Tomas Beauford. She is survived by her four children, Tikneshia Beauford, Anthony Beauford Jr., Nicole Grandberry and Tiffany Marsh, Michael Marsh (husband). All reside in Aurora, Colorado and her partner, Herman Jenkins, Monroe, Louisiana. Brother, David Flake Jr., Sandra Flake(wife) Terrell, TX and Sister, Patricia Flake-McKinney, Fort Smith, AK. Walter Flake, Felicia Flake(wife) Lancaster, TX. Grandchildren: Tyrell Beauford, Cheyenna Beauford-Fauver, Ka'Teanna Fauver, Elijah Beauford, Malcolm Bamba, Giovanni Beauford, Jazzylnn Beauford, Angelo Beauford, Jourdayn Caudill and Jacqueline Murphy. Great- Grandchildren: Ka' Mya, Airelle, Jayce, Amire, A' Dayon, Violet, Aubrey, Adrianna, and GG BeBe's Next Unborn Great Grandbaby.She also survived by host of stepchildren, step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. A wonderful cook, traveler, and fashionista. Her illuminating spirit touched every life she encountered. She loved Jesus. She loved her children, and living life to the fullest. She made everyone around her smile! Quote: "We need to build on our past, not fester and stifle ourselves with limitations. Keep your vision, set yourselves free from limitations and see a future which allows you freedom to feel what the heart can feel and heal the mind!" Bebra Jenkins Visitation and Viewing will be on Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 12:30pm to 2:00pm, with a Going Home Service at 2:00pm at Colorado Community Church 14000 E Jewel Ave, Aurora, Colorado. Repast to follow service in the Church Hall.
