Benito Pablo Muniz Jr.

Benito Pablo Muniz, 67, of Rocky Ford, Colorado, went to be with the Lord on December 18, 2015. Benito Pablo Muniz Jr. passed away Friday, December 18, 2015 surrounded by family. He was born on March 16, 1948 to Benito and Alice (Gonzales) Muniz. He married Marcia Sandoval on March 27, 1971 in Alamosa, CO. He retired from the Colorado Department of Corrections in 2004. He proudly served the U.S. Navy Seabees and the U.S. Army National Guard. After retirement, his inspiration and joy were his grandchildren. Survived by his children; Sons, the late Jonathan (Loretta) Muniz of San Antonio, TX, Miguel (Santana) Muniz of Aurora, CO; Daughters, Maria (Tim) Klob of La Junta, CO, Felicia Muniz (Darin Adelman) of Peoria, AZ; Brothers, Adolph Muniz of Alamosa, CO, Marvin (Margaret) Muniz of Manassa, CO; Sisters, Monica (Ron) Maestas of Las Vegas, NM, Frieda Diaz of Brighton, CO, Imelda (Ron) Siegle of Westminster, CO, Rebecca (Benny) Martinez of Antonito, CO, Shelley Muniz of Capulin, CO, Donna (Michael) Herrera of Rio Rancho, NM; Grandchildren, Cameron Adelman, Jordan Adelman, Alex Muniz, Rheana Ojeda, Tristin Klob, Xavier Muniz, Hayden Adelman, Dylan Adelman, Sophia Klob, Nikolai Adelman, Brooklyn Muniz, Simon Adelman, and many loving nephews, nieces, cousins, and several other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcia Muniz, son, Jonathan Muniz, mother, Alice Muniz, father, Benito Muniz, and brother, Dwayne Muniz. He will be missed and loved by many. Burial with Navy honors to follow.
