Benjamin Scott Jones
September 25th, 1988 - July 4th, 2013
Benjamin Scott Jones, 24, of Duluth, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013, as a result of a motorcycle accident. He was born in Duluth on September 25, 1988 to Jim and Sheree Kay Jones. Ben grew up in Duluth and graduated from Lake Superior High School in 2007. Following high school earning the Character award, Ben served his country as a Corporal for the Marine Corp, earning numerous commendations. He was currently employed as a caregiver for At Home Living. Ben was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed a variety of activities including snowmobiling, fishing, four-wheeling, motorcycling, and playing soccer. He always enhanced his activities with his trusty sidekicks, his dogs Cadence and Creed. He was preceded in death by his uncle, John Stahl; and by Bobby and Scotty Alseth. Ben is survived by his mother, Sheree Kay Jones; father, Jim (Kim) Jones of Solon Springs; and step-father, Jeff Cozzi of Duluth. He is also survived by his grandparents, Carol and Dan Jones of Duluth and Lois and Ned Lundberg of Two Harbors; and siblings, Jerod, Cody (Caley) Jones, and Jeris (Laura Olson) Cozzi. Memorial Services were held on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at The Vineyard Church, 1533 W. Arrowhead Road, Duluth, followed by lunch at the church. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery in Duluth Township. Military Honors were provided by the National Guard Honor Guard. Memorials are preferred to Woodland Hills or Animal Allies in Ben's name.
