Bernard Steve Egan
July 3rd, 1941 - December 20th, 2019
Bernard Steve Egan passed away Dec. 19, 2019 from COPD, and other health issues. He was born on July 3, 1941 in Del Norte, CO to Walter S. Egan and Rena A. Weiler Egan of Pueblo, CO. He graduated from Centennial High School of Pueblo in 1959. He joined the US Army in 1962, and discharged in 1965. He was a Vietnam Veteran. He had worked for 1st. National Bank, Memorial Hospital of Colorado Springs, Pueblo Civil Defense, and retired from Mountain Bell-US West as an executive. He received a B.S. of Business Administration from the University of Colorado Pueblo in 1975. He is survived by his sons, Kevin R. Egan, and Michael P. Egan, born to his first wife, Kathy Victor. He married Susan Rains Egan in Dec. 1971, and they recently celebrated their 48th anniversary. He was an avid reader, loved the Colorado mountains, gardening, and became a stained glass artist. He lived in the mountains for the past 33 years. A celebration of his life will be held May 23, at the family home.
