Bernice Y. Garcia (Romero), age 76 went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday January 27, 2012. She was at her home with her husband and children. Born January 15, 1936 in Denver, Colorado. Bernice was married to John Garcia on December 1, 1950. They just celebrated 60 years together with a large celebration surrounded by family and friends on December 10, 2012. Her faith and love for the Lord was what made her the loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Bernice was truly loved and admired for her warm hospitality,along with her mexican cooking. Family and friends being together was what she enjoyed the most, and that is what is being carried on right now through her legacy. Survived by her husband John Garcia and children Anthony, Steve, Sherry (Tony), Gary, Marianne (Joe), Jeanette (Frank), Frank (lori), and Tony; 21 grandchildren Jonette, Jason, Andrea, Jenelle, Steven, Shirleen, Joseph, Samuel, Stephanie, Laura, Nathan, Brandon, Jennifer, Jonathan, JoAnne, Chris, Kellie, Jasmine, Sean, Lilly, and Ashleigh; 24 great grandchildren Ej, Bobby, Lauren, (Savanna-home with Jesus) Eric, Marlena, Veronica, Genesis, Isiah, Jordan, Ariana, Natalia, Israel, Donavan, Andrea, Frankie, Andrew, Sierra, Diego, Izaac, Noah, Jeremiah, Aj, Christopher and baby Mariah; Siblings Mildred, Babs, and Shirley (deceased), Fred, and Buddy (Bea); and many,many friends and brothers and sisters in the Lord. A Memorial Service for Bernice will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., at Living Waters Tabernacle, 1701 South Sherman St., Denver.
